Working from home is becoming increasingly common. An additional 4.2 million workers did their jobs from home at least one day a week in the last decade.
Between 2005 and 2010 the share of all workers who were home-based went from 7.8% to 9.5%. The advances in communication and information technologies mean workers are increasingly able to perform work from home.
